In addition, Kokankada is also the worth-exploring point on the fort. There are few temples on the fort. Kedareshwar Cave Shiva temple is the most surprising one. It is mostly filled with water. You may have seen photos of the Shiva temple with three broken pillars.

Trek from the Paachnai route is the easiest one and you can complete the trek in a day. The Paachnai route is also best if you are going with your family. There are major three routes for the Harishchandragad trek. Although it is one of the toughest treks in Maharashtra, the difficulty level is subjective and depend on the trek route. Paachnai, Khireshwar and Walhivare (Belpada) are 3 base villages for this trek.
Kokankada is an overhung cliff on the massive Harishchandragad fort. Kokankada is on the west side of the fort facing the Kokan area. That is the reason this cliff is known as Kokankada.
