If you do the Harishchandragad and Kokankada trek then you already have experienced one of the toughest treks in Maharashtra. Now the next big plan could be going to the highest point in Maharashtra. Kalsubai peak trek is the best plan after visiting Harishchandragad. Both the places come under the Kalsubai Harishchandragad wildlife sanctuary.

Harishchandragad is one of the popular trekking destinations in Maharashtra. Kokankada trek is also the main attraction of this fort. After you complete the Harishchandragad trek, you can plan to climb Kalsubai peak, the highest peak in Maharashtra. There are other forts in the surroundings such as Hanumantgad Fort, Bhairavgad Fort, Sindola Fort, Hadsar Fort, Jivdhan Fort and Naneghat.

Harishchandragad falls under the Kalsubai Harishchandragad wildlife sanctuary. Malshej Ghat waterfalls and Pimpalgaon Joga dam are few other worth-seeing places near Harishchandragad.

There are 3 different routes for the Harishchandragad trek. Paachnai route is the easiest, then the Khireshwar route which is medium. The most difficult route to Harishchandragad is the trek through Nalichi Vaat. So you can explore all these routes. By doing this, you can enjoy the Harishchandragad camping experience to its fullest. Good Luck!
