In the list of one of the toughest forts in Maharashtra, Harishchandragad will be the most popular destination. Harishchandragad camping is truly the out of the world experience. In addition, Kokankada is also the worth-exploring point on the fort. There are few temples on the fort. Kedareshwar Cave Shiva temple is the most surprising one. It is mostly filled with water. You may have seen photos of the Shiva temple with three broken pillars.

Apart from that, there is Harishchandreshwar temple, Ganesh Temple, many caves and a lake known as Saptatirtha Pushkarni.

Harishchandragad is popular for the Kokankada. It is an overhung cliff facing the Kokan, the west coastal area of Maharashtra. There are many caves and temples on the fort. It’s a good place for camping.

Harishchandragad trek via Nalichi Vaat is one of the toughest treks in Maharashtra. So this could be another reason to go for this trek.
