How to put it in the words? Umm, because everyone has their own reasons. In shorts, I can say that Sinhagad Fort is one of the best trekking places near Pune and Mumbai. Once you are on the Sinhagad fort, the panoramic view of the mighty Sahyadri mountain range and Khadakwasla Lake is intimidating. Sinhagad fort has rich and brave history and it was one of the most important forts in the Maratha Empire. Another reason to visit Sinhagad fort is its closeness to Pune. And at last, I just love Sinhagad fort trek. What else I can say?

There are many places and points to see on the Sinhagad Fort. There are two main doors to enter in the Sinhagad fort; Pune Darvaja and Kalyan Darvaja. There is Sardar Tanaji Malusare Smarak, Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj Samadhi, Lokmanya Tilak Residence, Zunzar Buruj and temples. You can also feel the winds from the Sahyadri Mountains.  There is a point on Sinhagad from where you can see the Khadakwasla water body. May be these are the reasons for the Sinhagad fort visits.
