The trek starts at evening and you will reach the Sinhagad in the early morning. I will suggest you go with the team or with your friends. There are many K2S night trek organizers in the city. The K2S path is confusing even for the experienced trekkers and you will not get a proper network in the area. Although it is a difficult trek, I still recommend you to go. The views of an entire city from the top of the hills are marvellous. It’s a once in lifetime experience.

For me, the toughest trek in Maharashtra would be Alang Madan Kulang forts, also known as AMK trek. Alang, Madan and Kulang are three different forts lie in the Kalsubai Range of Western ghats. AMK forts are located at Nashik district, Maharashtra, India. Many climbing and rappelling patches make AMK one of the most difficult treks in Maharashtra.

There are 2 different routes to go to Sinhagd Fort from Swargate, Pune.
- One route is Swargate- Sinhagad road- Khadakwasla Lake-Sinhagad Fort. This is around 29 km. Also, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset on the return journey at Khadkwasala Lake. This route again split into two different routes. One will take you directly to the Sinhagad Fort using your private vehicle. And another one is a popular trek route. You will enter from famous Pune Darvaja using this route.
- The second route is Swargate – Katraj – Khed – Sinhagad Fort. This route is around 35 km of a distance. This side of a trek is quite easy. You can enter to Sinhagad Fort from Kalyan Darvaja.
