Sinhgad Fort is around 30 km away from Pune and around 180km from Mumbai. You can use public transport to go to Sinhagad Fort. There is a PMPML bus service from Swargate, Pune and Corporation Bus Stand (MANAPA) to Sinhagad payatha (Base Village).

There are 2 different routes to go to Sinhagd Fort from Swargate, Pune.

    1. One route is Swargate- Sinhagad road- Khadakwasla Lake-Sinhagad Fort. This is around 29 km. Also, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset on the return journey at Khadkwasala Lake. This route again split into two different routes. One will take you directly to the Sinhagad Fort using your private vehicle.  And another one is a popular trek route. You will enter from famous Pune Darvaja using this route.
    2. The second route is Swargate – Katraj – Khed – Sinhagad Fort. This route is around 35 km of a distance. This side of a trek is quite easy. You can enter to Sinhagad Fort from Kalyan Darvaja.

Not more than an hour, if you have your own vehicle. Sinhagad Fort is also visible from the Mumbai Pune Highway on a clear sunny day.
