The name of the water body seen from the Sinhagad fort is Khadakwasla Lake. There is another dam named Panshet dam at the very west side of the Sinhagad fort. You can spend some time at the Khadakwasla Lake in the return journey from the Sinhagad fort to Pune. People visit Khadakwasla Lake to see the beautiful Sunset. There is a complete festival like atmosphere at the evening near Khadakwasla Lake.

You can see Khadakwasla Lake and Panshet Lake from Sinhagad fort. Khadakwasla Lake is clearly visible from Sinhagad Fort. Panshet Dam is at the west side of the fort. Also the panoramic view of the Sahyadri Mountain range from Sinhagad fort is just stunning.
