Mangi Tungi is the twin-pinnacle hill, situated near Taharabad in the Satana Taluka of Nashik district, Maharashtra. A plateau connects both the pinnacles. Mangi is the western side pinnacle with the elevation of 1324m and Tungi is at the eastern side at an elevation of 1331m. You need to climb almost 4500 to reach the top of the Pinnacles. There is a well-constructed route available to go to both the pinnacle. You can visit this place round the year.
This is also a popular holy place and the main highlight of this place is 108 feet tall Statue of Ahimsa. This statue is an idol of the first Tirthankar of Jainism, Rishabhanatha.
You will reach the Mangi Tungi temple after climbing around 3000 steps. There are many caves on the hill where you will find many Jain idols.

Mangi Tungi is around 125 km away from Nashik and 100 km away from Dhule.
The well-know village near Mangi Tungi is Taharabad which is at a distance of 12 km. As one of the popular tourist attractions in Nashik District, it is well connected by the roads. Bhilawadi is the base village to Mangi Tungi trek.
There is parking facility available at the base. From there you can start the trail. After climbing a lot of steps, you will reach the Temple. You can rest there for a while and start your further trail towards the top of Mangi pinnacle. You will come across many caves once you reach the top.
Best time to visit Mangi Tungi
You can visit this place round the year. Winter season would be the best time to visit Mangi Tungi. You will get to see the splendid views of lush green surroundings.
If you are going in the monsoon period, take great precautions because the steps are going to be slippery due to rain. The wind is so strong here which will be a challenging aspect of your adventure. The festival of Mahavir Jayanti is greatly celebrated at Mangi Tungi Jain Temple. Many Jain pilgrims come here to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Lord Mahavir.

Mangi Tungi is around 290 km away from Mumbai. To go to this place from Mumbai, head towards the Nashik. From Nashik, it is around 125 km away. There is state transport bus service available from Nashik to Taharabad which is 12 km away from Mangi Tungi.

Well, you must have noticed the Tambolya hill on the west side from the top of the Mangi pinnacle. After the great religious experience at Mangi Tungi hills, you can explore the Tambolya hill.
There are also many forts in the region such as Salher Fort, Salota Fort, Dhamanya Fort, Hargad Fort and Mulher Fort at the western side. Salher fort trek is one of the toughest treks in Maharashtra.
There is also Pisol Fort at the east side. You will find many caves on the Pisol fort. It’s an easy 1-hour trek.
